Wholesale MMA glove prices
Two builds, one published price each. The outer material sets the price: the multi-layer foam and the velcro wrist closure are the same on both.
| Outer material | Foam & closure | FOB / pair |
|---|---|---|
| Synthetic leather | Multi-layer foam, velcro strap | $9.47 |
| Cowhide leather | Multi-layer foam, velcro strap | $19.47 |
Prices in USD per pair, FOB Pakistan, from the ForgeSports 2026 Boxing & MMA price list. Final pricing is confirmed on quotation, once style, branding, packaging and order quantity are known.
Custom colours, sublimation printing, custom design and custom packaging are available on both builds, at an MOQ of 20 pairs per design.
What a first run costs
At list price, 20 pairs cost $189.40 FOB in synthetic leather or $389.40 FOB in cowhide. That is enough to test a new colourway, launch a premium cowhide line next to a synthetic one, or kit out a gym's MMA class without tying up money in stock you can't sell.
Many MMA glove suppliers publish no prices at all. We publish ours so you can model margin and landed cost before the first call.
Fight, sparring, hybrid & grappling gloves
Buyers rarely order "an MMA glove". They order a style, and the style decides the padding, the weight and who will buy it. Here is how the four common styles are usually specified.
| Style | Weight often specified | What buyers specify | Typical use & buyer |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fight (competition-style) | About 4 oz (pro) or 6 oz (amateur) | Thin knuckle padding, close fit, open palm, single wrist strap | Competition-look ranges, bag work for experienced athletes, fight-team merchandise |
| MMA sparring gloves | About 7 oz | Thicker padding over the knuckles and back of the hand, padded thumb, wide wrist strap | Partner sparring in MMA classes; the glove many gyms ask members to buy |
| Hybrid | About 6–7 oz | More padding than a fight glove, with the fingers left free for clinch and grappling | Bag and pad work plus light sparring; the all-round retail glove |
| Grappling / training | Usually the lightest build | Minimal padding, open palm, maximum finger movement | Ground-and-pound and grappling drills, fitness classes, entry-level ranges |
Weights are those commonly specified in the MMA market and are shown as a guide, not as a fixed ForgeSports range. State the style and weight you want in your brief: we confirm what we can build, and at what price, in writing at the specification stage.
Professional and sanctioned amateur MMA bouts use gloves supplied or approved by the athletic commission or sanctioning body. Private label MMA gloves are sold for training, sparring and fitness unless a specific model has been submitted for that approval, so keep words like "official" or "competition approved" off your packaging until you hold it.
MMA glove construction, explained
Both builds share the same core: an open-finger glove with multi-layer foam over the knuckles and a velcro wrist strap. The outer material is the main choice, and it affects price, feel and even your import duty.
| Material | Feel & look | Durability | Best for | Tariff heading | FOB / pair |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Synthetic leather (PU) | Smooth, leather-like grain, consistent colour from batch to batch | Good | Gym retail, fitness MMA, e-commerce, entry and mid-price ranges | 3926.20 (plastics) | $9.47 |
| Cowhide leather | Supple genuine leather that moulds to the hand with use | Excellent | Premium sparring and pro-style ranges, fight-team gloves | 4203.21 (leather) | $19.47 |
Want a feature you don't see here? Describe it in your brief and we'll confirm feasibility before quoting.
Multi-layer foam
Foam of different densities is built up in layers over the knuckles. It is standard on both builds. If you want a thinner fight-style profile or a softer sparring feel, tell us and we'll confirm the layer build.
Velcro wrist strap
A hook-and-loop strap closes the wrist, so the athlete can put the gloves on alone. Need a wider strap, a double strap or a wrap-around closure? Describe it and we'll confirm feasibility.
Palm & thumb
Most MMA gloves leave the palm open for grip and the thumb free. Many sparring buyers prefer a padded or partly covered thumb. State which you need for each style.
Finger loops & fit
Loop size and the cut of the finger section decide how a glove fits. If there's a glove on the market whose fit you like, send it or its measurements with your brief.
Sizes
MMA gloves are usually sold in sizes such as S to XL rather than one weight. Give us your size split per design and we'll confirm how the 20-pair MOQ is divided.
Your reference sample
Matching an existing glove? Send photos, a tech pack or the glove itself. We quote to it and develop a physical sample for your approval.
Private label MMA gloves, made to your brand
Your customers should see your brand, not ours. These options apply to both the synthetic and the cowhide build.
Custom colours
Shell, wrist strap, piping, finger loops and stitching colours matched to your palette. Send Pantone references if you have them.
Sublimation printing
Full-colour graphics such as stripes, camo, flags or team artwork. We advise on the right print method for your chosen material.
Custom design
Logo on the wrist strap, back of the hand or palm, plus your panel shapes and artwork, developed into a physical sample for approval.
Custom packaging
Branded boxes, polybags, hang tags and size labels. Share any marketplace packaging rules at the brief stage.
Labels for your market
Size labels and "Made in Pakistan" origin marking, which the US requires on each glove, added to your label design.
Good, better, best
Run the same design in synthetic leather and cowhide to sell two price points from one development.
What to tell your MMA gloves manufacturer

HS codes & import duty for MMA gloves
The notes to the sports-equipment chapter of the tariff (Chapter 95) exclude gloves, so MMA gloves are classified by what the outer is made of. Choosing cowhide or synthetic leather therefore changes your duty line.
| Glove outer | HS code | USA | UK (from Pakistan) | EU (from Pakistan) | Australia |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cowhide leather | 4203.21 | 4.9% + 10% Section 301 | 0% (DCTS; 8% standard) | 0% (GSP+; 9% standard) | Free |
| Synthetic leather (PU / PVC) | 3926.20 | 3% + 10% Section 301 | 0% (DCTS; 6% standard) | 0% (GSP+; 6.5% standard) | Free |
| Mainly knitted textile | 6116 | 2.8% + 10% Section 301 | 0% (DCTS; 8% standard) | 0% (GSP+; 8.9% standard) | Free |
No US customs ruling covers MMA gloves specifically, so these codes follow CBP rulings on boxing gloves, such as NY N246251 (cowhide, 4203.21.8060) and NY C86868 (PVC, 3926.20.3000). The US adds a 10% Section 301 duty on Pakistan-origin goods entered from 24 July 2026, plus MPF and, by sea, HMF. The $800 de minimis exemption is suspended, so small parcels and samples pay duty too. UK and EU 0% rates need valid proof of origin. Rates as of 10 October 2026: always confirm your exact product with a customs broker.
Why Pakistan origin matters
Buying from an MMA gloves manufacturer in Pakistan rather than China can save you 6–9% duty into the UK and EU, where Pakistan-origin gloves enter at 0% under DCTS and GSP+. Pakistan must reapply under the EU's new GSP scheme from 2027; current preferences continue through a transition to the end of 2028.
Labels & leather chemistry
For the US, each glove must be marked with its country of origin, legibly and permanently. For the EU, REACH limits chromium VI in leather that touches the skin to 3 mg/kg, so ask for test reports when you order cowhide gloves for Europe.

What is the MOQ for custom MMA gloves?
20 pairs per design. MMA gloves usually sell in several sizes, so tell us your split (for example S, M, L and XL) when you ask for a quote and we'll confirm how the 20 pairs can be divided.
How much do wholesale MMA gloves cost?
$9.47 a pair FOB in synthetic leather and $19.47 in cowhide leather, both with multi-layer foam and a velcro wrist strap. A 20-pair first run is therefore $189.40 or $389.40 FOB at list price. Final prices are confirmed once style, branding, packaging and quantity are known.
Which MMA glove weights and styles can you make?
Tell us the style (fight, sparring, hybrid or grappling) and the weight you want, and we'll confirm feasibility, construction and price in writing at the specification stage. As a market guide, fight gloves are usually about 4 oz for professionals and 6 oz for amateurs, and sparring gloves about 7 oz.
What is the difference between MMA fight, sparring and grappling gloves?
Fight gloves are light, with thin knuckle padding and a close fit. Sparring gloves add padding over the knuckles, the back of the hand and often the thumb, to protect training partners. Grappling gloves are the lightest build, with minimal padding and free fingers for gripping. Hybrid gloves sit between fight and sparring gloves.
Should I choose synthetic leather or cowhide MMA gloves?
Synthetic leather costs less, keeps a consistent colour and suits gym retail, fitness ranges and e-commerce. Cowhide is supple, hard-wearing genuine leather for premium sparring and pro-style ranges. The two also fall under different tariff headings (3926.20 and 4203.21), which changes US duty slightly.
Are your MMA gloves approved for competition?
Private label MMA gloves are made for training, sparring and fitness. Professional and sanctioned amateur bouts use gloves supplied or approved by the athletic commission or sanctioning body. If you need competition approval, plan it as a separate project once your sample is final.
Can I get a sample before ordering?
Yes. We develop a physical sample to your approved specification and send it for inspection. Bulk production starts only after you approve it. Sample cost and timing are agreed at the specification stage.
How long does an MMA glove order take?
We confirm the timeline in writing before sampling. As a guide, glove samples in Sialkot typically take one to three weeks, and bulk production typically three to six weeks after sample approval, depending on quantity, materials and customisation. Then add freight: roughly a week by air or several weeks by sea.
What HS code and import duty apply to MMA gloves?
Gloves are classified by their outer material: leather under 4203.21 and PU or PVC synthetic under 3926.20. As of 10 October 2026, the US charges 4.9% or 3% plus a 10% Section 301 duty on Pakistan-origin goods, while the UK and EU charge 0% under DCTS and GSP+ with valid proof of origin. Confirm your product's classification with a customs broker. More in our HS code guide.
